ALEXANDER MICHAEL CZUBATY March 9, 1929 - June 8, 2008 On Sunday June 8 Alex passed away at his home in Winnipeg. Alex was preceded by his parents Vincentia and Theo Phil as well as his loving wife Anne and brothers Michael and Joseph. He leaves to mourn many relatives of his and Anne's family. Alex was born March 9, 1929 in (Sunstrum) Ontario. He met his love Anne Cyhanchuk later in life and they married May 9, 1970. They had a wonderful life together, enjoying many trips to warm destinations with friends. Alex and Anne served their community for many years through their volunteer work with Meals on Wheels. Alex began school on the railroad school train car in remote Ontario. Later moving to Winnipeg and attending Argyle, Norquay, Aberdeen, and St. Johns Schools. Alex began his woodworking career with an apprenticeship at Dowse sash and down in St. Boniface. He would also work for Indian Northern Affairs and Brown Rutherford in Winnipeg. Alex and his brother Joe started from humble beginnings with a leap into the hotel business in Miniota, MB. Through hard work and perseverance managed a successful career through several ventures together, starting in 1963 until 1987. Alex was self-sufficient building his own home in Narol and was strongly independent. He loved hunting and fishing spending many hours outdoors. He will be dearly missed by many. Funeral services will take place on Monday June 16, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church 45 Foster St. Viewing at 9:30 a.m. also at the church. Fr. Pierre Wood officiating.
